The varsity softball team played at home on Thursday, April 25, against the Gaylord St. Mary Snowbirds. The lady Bulldogs were exited and ready to play the Snowbirds. Going into the first inning, the Bulldogs were pumped up and started the game off on a good foot. So far the team is undefeated this season, which gave them confidence going into the game. Due to the state championship win two years ago, the team has big shoes to fill.

There are 3 freshmen that were brought up to varsity this year, Allyssa Byrne, Emily VanDaele, and Megan Vigneau.

“It feels, being on varsity as a freshman. Our coaches and community have high expectations for this program and we hope to keep that going,” Byrne said.

Going into the first game, the Bulldogs started off a little slow because they believed they were going to win. Overall, they won the first game 10-0. At the start of the second game, the girls started to pick up the pace and started doing really well.

Having a boost of confidence from winning the first game, they won the second game 10-0 as well. The Bulldogs take home two more wins for the season.
